Canine Nutrition PRO Small Breed HT 42d
Fed to my female dachshunds from the first day of breeding. Recommended for Small-
Breed Breeding Bitches
from the 1st Day of Estrus to the 42nd Day of Pregnancy
The period from the 1st day of estrus to the 42nd day of pregnancy is crucial for the breeding
bitch.
This is the time when the follicles mature (essential for ovulation) and when fertilization and embryogenesis
occur. This means that a large part of the embryo and fetal development take place during this period. It is
therefore of the greatest importance to give the bitch a diet that will allow the correct progress of embryo
maturation and good fetal development.
Prepares the Bitch for Breeding
Ingredients including chelated minerals (zinc, copper and manganese), beta-carotenes, specific amino acids (L-carnitine,
arginine and tyrosine) and a complex of vitamins that support the uterus, ovulation and gestation to prepare the bitch
for reproduction. Superior quality proteins to meet the high-energy requirements during pregnancy. An energy-dense
diet (4089 kcal/kg) to maintain the bitch in good body condition during this crucial stage of gestation.
Supports Embryo Development
L-Carnitine and Arginine help ensure correct embryogenesis. Powerful antioxidants such as beta-carotenes,
vitamins E and C and taurine to protect the developing fetus from free radicals. Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA)
to allow ideal maturation of motor and visual function in newborn puppies.
Reduces Stool Volume
A low quantity of indigestible matter leads to a reduced volume of feces making clean up easier and less
time-consuming. The reduced phosphorus content reduces the discharge of pollutants into the environment.
Fed to my dachshund puppies from weaning to 8 Weeks
Between the 4th and 12th weeks, baby dogs go through a critical period. The immunity
transmitted by the
colostrum (first milk) gradually decreases to reach a level where it is almost undetectable
after the 4th week; this is called the “immunity gap.”
A baby dog has difficulties in grasping kibbles that are too large or too hard. To help it grasp and eat, the
kibbles should have a suitable shape and texture for size of the teeth and strength of the jaws.
The digestive capacities of the baby dog slowly develop with age. A baby dog’s ability to digest starch is only
5-10% of the adult dog. Up to the age of three months, the digestion of the baby dog is still delicate; a highly
digestible food rich in proteins may help to prevent digestive disorders like diarrhea
Immunity Support
Mannan Oligosaccharides (yeast extracts) help to build the baby dog’s natural defenses by increasing the quantity of
antibodies in a period of immune fragility and may help to promote the development of beneficial intestinal flora.
Digestive Security
A unique combination of ingredients of mineral and vegetable origin (Chicory and Beet Pulp extracts), and a reduced
starch level (less than 26%) coming purely from Rice may help to ensure maximum digestive safety.
Fed to my dachshunds from 2 to 10 Months.
The growth period of a small breed puppy is shorter than that of a large breed puppy, spanning only
about
10 months. During this demanding period, a small breed puppy will multiply its weight by up to 20
times.
Improper mineral levels can contribute to abnormal bone and skeletal development.
Research indicates that puppies have difficulty digesting carbohydrates during the early stages of growth.
This period represents the time when the digestive system is most sensitive. A diet that is highly digestible
and contains the appropriate balance of fibers to prevent digestive upset and maintain optimal digestive
function, resulting in small, firm stools.
Supported Growth
A complete diet that provides nourishment through an optimal balance of high quality proteins, fats, fibers,
carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals for growth.
Sound Skeleton
Formulated with optimal levels of calcium and phosphorus to ensure proper bone formation.
Digestive Security
High quality proteins and chelated minerals are more easily absorbed and help to compensate for the reduced digestive
capacity of puppies.
Fed to my dachshunds Over 10 Months of Age
The special physiology of the Dachshund, such as his characteristic body shape and very short
legs, makes it a very unusual breed that needs special attention, especially in terms of nutrition.
Healthy Joints
Supplemental levels of Glucosamine and Chondroitin may enhance joint mobility.
Antioxidant Supplement
Optimal levels of Vitamins E and C and green tea extracts help inhibit cellular deterioration. Because
Dachshunds are so long-lived, you may gradually notice some signs of aging: loss of energy, a dull coat or
even the appearance of white hairs.
L-Carnitine - Burns Fat
Helps burn fat and promotes a lean muscle mass. His popularity owes much to his characteristic body shape and very
short legs. However the shorter an animal's legs, the less ability they have to absorb shock. An optimal bodyweight can
reduce strain on the vertebrae.
same time, excess calories may increase the risk of obesity in the small breed adult dog.
A beautiful coat and soft, supple skin is the best sign of a dog’s good health. A diet deficient in
essential nutrients can have an immediate and visible effect on the coat. .
When in good health, small breed dogs have a longer life expectancy (average of 15 years), which means
additional exposure to the effects of cell aging. Beginning in adulthood, it is important to provide a diet rich
in antioxidants that may help to delay the effects of time – such as changes in kidney and heart function
and dental problems.
Customized Kibble Shape
The design of the kibble is one of the key factors that sets Royal Canin diets apart. We consider all of the unique
aspects of the animal, and then design a kibble that meets those needs.
Body Condition
Small Breed Adult contains a balance of protein and carbohydrates to meet the energy needs of the small breed adult
dog. A blend of fermentable and non-fermentable fibers, as well as moisture absorbing ingredients helps to optimize
digestive security, resulting in small, firm stools.
Coat Health & Beauty
Small Breed Adult provides a diet supplemented with essential fatty acids that will help contribute to a beautiful coat
and healthy skin.
Antioxidant Vitamins E & C
Small Breed Adult contains antioxidant vitamins E & C to prepare the dog for a long life.
